Meet Lucy! She is a beautiful 2-year-old basset hound with a big personality, a loving heart, and plenty of classic basset charm. After recently losing the person she was most bonded to, Lucy has been through a lot of change and is now looking for a stable, loving home where she can feel safe, secure, and adored again. Lucy has lived with several other dogs and knows how to hold her own — she’s confident, opinionated, and very much believes she should be in charge. She enjoys spending time outside in a fenced yard, soaking up attention from her people, and being involved in whatever is going on around her. Like many bassets, Lucy is extremely food motivated and will happily supervise mealtime… or help herself if given the chance. She’s currently settling into her foster home and will soon be visiting the vet for a wellness exam, vaccinations, and her spay surgery. Lucy would do best with someone who understands and appreciates the basset hound personality — stubborn moments included — and who is willing to give her the patience, structure, and love she needs as she adjusts to this new chapter in her life.
