The 2026 Waddle was truly one for the record books!
Over 200 basset hounds and their humans gathered in Ocala on February 21, 2026 for a basset-filled day of fun, friendship, and fundraising.
Behind all the fun was an important purpose — raising critical funds for SBR’s lifesaving work. Medical expenses for new intakes, fosters, and forever fosters regularly exceed $12,000 per month, and the Waddle helps ensure we can say “yes” to every Florida basset in need.

The 2027 Waddle will kick off Suncoast Basset Rescue’s 30th Anniversary year! The festivities start Friday evening, February 19, 2027, at the Quality Inn & Suites I-75 in Ocala for dinner, Bingo and a great kickoff to the Waddle weekend. The Waddle gates open at 9:00am on Saturday, February 20, 2027, at the Greater Ocala Dog Club Showgrounds.
