Adoptable
All of our adoptable bassets are in foster homes. Some are placed directly on intake into foster-to-adopt homes, where the expectation is that the family will adopt the dog once he/she is medically cleared. Others are placed in traditional foster homes until they meet their forever family. All are listed here. If an adoption is pending, that is noted on the dog’s profile. We are always bringing in adoptable bassets, so check back frequently!
Forever Fosters
At Suncoast Basset Rescue, most of our hounds are lucky enough to find their forever homes—
but some need a different kind of forever. These are our Forever Fosters—special hounds who,
due to age, medical needs, or behavioral challenges, will never be adopted but instead remain in
loving foster homes with their expenses underwritten by SBR for the rest of their lives.

In Memory
These bassets came to the Rainbow Bridge while they were in SBR’s Forever Foster program. They knew the love and warmth of a dedicated foster family and received excellent medical care during their time with SBR, whether that was days, months, or even years . We treasure and honor them all.
