SBR HAS PUPPIES AVAILABLE!
|
|
Reserve Your Little Drooler
Suncoast Basset Rescue has seven beautiful puppies available for adoption (one male and six females).
While SBR does not normally have puppies, these are from a recently rescued Basset in Pensacola. Daddy may (or may not) have been a basset too!
You can reserve a puppy for a $50 donation to SBR. The $200 adoption fee will apply when the puppies reach appropriate adoption age. Of course, puppies need a lot of love and training. We recommend homes with a fenced yard, a home in which they would not be alone for more than four hours and of course, time for obedience training. For more information contact: Our adoption coordinator Kitty Workman. kittyworkman@yahoo.com

| News from Suncoast Basset Rescue
SBR will soon be on ebay! You will be able to bid on great items and support SBR at the same time! Watch for more details ... SBR has received a $1,500 grant from PETCO's "We are Family Too Fund" to take care of housing and vet care for abandoned hounds that are left behind when people lose their homes. Kudos to Kathy Peacock for making this happen ... The legendary DJ continues to make great progress thanks to foster Beckie McClintick and Hollis Brown, Frenchie, and Queen Scarlet. DJ has been to boot camp and Beckie reports training has been going well. He is a cuddler, kisser, loves to lay in your lap, and plays well with other dogs ... Checkout the SBR online Rescue Store. New items include Dogswell Treats, Bone-of-Prevention Pill Box, and Christmas Ornaments. Sale items include Basset Tapestry Throws, Basset Thermometer and doggie gift wrap paper ... Need pet medications and supplies? 1800PetMeds.com is a great place and a supporter of SBR.

Dear SBR Supporters:
Please mark your calendar for the SBR Annual Dinner and Auction on Saturday, Sept. 19th in Tampa. In these challenging economic times, it is more important than ever to show your support for Suncoast Basset Rescue. Watch for future details.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chuck Gardner for his many years of service to SBR. Chuck reluctantly resigned from the board to concentrate on his studies for a doctorate degree. Of course, Chuck will continue be a familiar sight at SBR events and we appreciate his dedication.
I must remind all SBR supporters that we always need foster homes for our houndies. We are approaching the busiest time of year when hounds become homeless. Please open your heart and home for one of our bassets.
Sincerely,
Karen Young, President & Founder
