Memorial Service

One of the hardest things to do each year is to come to the Waddle after losing a loved pet. Our memorial service aims to ease the pain of losing a loved one by sharing in the celebration of Basset Hounds and all animals. If you've lost a pet since the last Waddle and would like him or her to be remembered at this year's Memorial Service, please send an email to Tara Gardner.

Local Lodging

The two hotels in the area have afforded us the following rates:

Days Inn - Brooksville
6320 Windmere Road
Brooksville, FL 34602
(352) 796-9486
$84 per night, plus tax
$25 non-refundable pet fee

Best Western - Brooksville
30307 Cortez Blvd.
Brooksville, FL 34602
(352) 796-9481

Both are decent hotels. The Best Western is about 1/2 mile closer. If you give them a call, tell them that you are with Suncoast Basset Rescue, looking to book a room at the rate mentioned.

Also, if you are traveling by RV, there is camping available at the Dog Show Grounds. Rates for hookups are as follows:

For a 30Amp hookup, the cost is $30 per plug, per day.
For a 50Amp hookup, the cost is $45 per plug, per day.
These fees include parking and water.
